Week 11 - 3/9/09 - 3/15/09

74-20090312.jpg

Monday, March 9Now it's my turn with the flu. Nicholas is still pretty sick too. Mandi has been spending a lot of time laying near Nicholas, I think she is worried about him.

Day 71 - 3/9/09

Tuesday, March 10 Jackson is 4 months old today and he is trying to roll over. The night was rotten. I was sick. Jackson woke up twice. Nicholas woke up crying at 3:30. He could not be comforted. I thought he could be hungry. Pancakes at 3:30 am. It was good to see him want to eat.

Day 72 - 3/10/09

Wednesday, March 11 This is how I roll. Back to tummy, I guess he didn't get the memo that he is supposed to roll tummy to back first. It was a sad week for another reason. Nicholas is losing all 4 of his therapy's. The program was a victim to state budget cuts. We are scrambling to replace what we can cover through insurance. His therapists have helped him so much this past year. He has came so far with their help. And he really loved all of them. He was so sick this week he couldn't even tell them goodbye when they came for their last visits.

Day 73 - 3/11/09

Thursday, March 12 Happy birthday Mike! Nicholas was much better today he even smiled and laughed when I woke him up this morning. He's not 100%, but better. We went to the Angels vs. Rockies spring training game today. Jackson stayed with Nana and Grandpa Carr. We thought Nicholas needed the fresh air. He did okay, but got tired easy so we left early. Jackson weighed 14 pounds at his well-check this morning. Daddy had a good birthday!

Day 74 - 3/12/09

Friday, March 13 Jackson ate cereal today and he liked it. It was nice to have a day off and hang out at home with the boys.

Saturday, March 14 Mike and I had the first date night we have had since Jackson was born. Nana and Grandpa Carr came over and watched the boys. We went to the Tempe Marketplace and started off with a drink at Cadillac Ranch, then we went to Kings Fishhouse for dinner. It was definitely nice to able to have a full meal with adult conversation.

Sunday, March 15 Nana R came over today to visit the boys. My 4 day weekend went to fast.

Week 10 - 3/2/09 - 3/8/09

67-20090305.jpg

Monday, March 2"Rub my belly". Such a typical Marti pose.

Day 64 - 3/2/09

Tuesday, March 3 Nicholas likes to read magazines, so I guess we better watch out what we throw in the recycle bin.

Day 65 - 3/3/09

Wednesday, March 4 Jackson is smiling and laughing so much now. Love to hear his little squeals.

Day 66 - 3/4/09

Thursday, March 5 The pink fire truck came to the office today for one of my co-workers, Cammie, who was diagnosed with breast cancer late last year. She is a couple years younger than me, it's scary but she is doing well after surgery and is currently cancer free. And she is so darned positive! It was cool to see her honored in this way on her first day back to work.

Day 67 - 3/5/09

Friday, March 6 This is what sick looks like. Nicholas has had the flu since Wednesday night. It's a rough one. He is just not himself at all. I miss my little guy.

Day 68 - 3/6/09

Saturday, March 7 Still sick, Nicholas fell asleep on the couch next to his daddy. He has been sleeping and not eating or drinking much. We are really worried about him.

Day 69 - 3/7/09

Sunday, March 8 Seeming to be a bit better today, but still so weak. This flu is lasting so long. Just a lot of laying around and watching TV or just wanting to be held by mommy or daddy.

Day 70 - 3/8/09

Week 9 - 2/23/09 - 3/1/09

61-20090227.jpg

Monday, February 23This is what throwing a fit at the dinner table looks like.

Day 57 - 2/23/09

Tuesday, February 24 "Can you believe this guy mom?" Nicholas sat down in his chair and watched part of the President's speech tonight. Nicholas took the words right of my mouth.

Day 58 - 2/24/09

Wednesday, February 25 I am going to throw my cup because it is empty. I want more, but I won't ask for it that way. Gotta love a 2 year old.

Day 59 - 2/25/09

Thursday, February 26 Just hanging out today.

Day 60 - 2/26/09

Friday, February 27 Went to the park to play with Connor and Jackson got to hang out with his sister Riley.

Day 61 - 2/27/09

Saturday, February 28 Jackson's first experience in his excersaucer. He was very curious, but got a little overwhelmed after a short time in it. I guess we have to build up a tolerance.

Day 62 - 2/28/09

Sunday, March 1 So I walk out of the room and Jackson is hanging out on the boppy, I come back a minute later and he looks like this. I guess we are learning how to scoot.

Day 63 - 3/1/09

Week 8 - 2/16 - 2/22/09

55-20090221.jpg

Catching up on my 365 posts... Week 8 - 2/16/09 - 2/22/09

Monday, February 16 I had today off for President's Day. We had the boys pictures taken at Kiddie Kandids and then had lunch at Cheesecake Factory. No cheesecake though, Nicholas was getting rambunctious at the end of the meal because it was past his naptime.

Day 50 - 2/16/09

Tuesday, February 17 So Mike walked away for a minute and came back to Jackson like this. He had scooted himself on his bottom off of his play mat.

Day 51 - 2/17/09

Wednesday, February 18 Today Nicholas had Occupational Therapy. Tracy had him play in the sink with the rubber fish. He looks like such a big boy to me standing up at the sink.

Day 52 - 2/18/09

Thursday, February 19 Jackson sits with us at the dinner table most nights. It is the only way we can eat at least half the meal in peace. I think he likes to be in the mix.

Day 53 - 2/19/09

Friday, February 20 Marti is always trying to get some of Nicholas's snack, and he usually gives her some. I guess it is the least he can do for all the chasing around after her that he does. The boys went to the park today for Nicholas to play with his friend Connor.

Day 54 - 2/20/09

Saturday, February 21 After spending the afternoon working on packing kits, we met some friends at the park so Nicholas could play with his friend Connor again. For 2 year olds they play well together. Gotta love this smile on Jackson.

Day 55 - 2/21/09

Sunday, February 22 Another playdate in the morning at the park with Connor and his family. Nicholas was all over the place. He loves to swing now. We spent about 3 hours at the park. Then I finished up the day by packing kits.

Day 56 - 2/22/09

2 Year & 3 Month Pictures

014021206_04.jpg

We took the boys to Kiddie Kandids today to get 2 year pictures done for Nicholas and 3 month pictures for Jackson. Nicholas wasn't cooperating so we didn't get any of the two boys together. Maybe next time. Nicholas is pretty playful for his pictures usually and today was no exception.

Layouts from this weekend

3-Months.jpg

I am taking Library of Memories over at Big Picture Scrapbooking for a second time. The class started last week. I started using the system last year for the most part. There are some areas I didn't fully implement that I hope to do this time around. I do have to say that it definitely has improved my organization. It also cuts down a lot of time of searching for what I want to work on. We have got Jackson into a bedtime routine that has worked now for the past 3 nights. He even slept 10 hours last night. It was great, and Mike and I had a few hours for our hobbies. I made 5 layouts last night I haven't been that productive in a while.

I have not done a lot of layouts for Jackson yet. So I worked on that last night. I used the Making Memories Animal Crackers line for these 3 layouts. I added American Crafts Thickers and a couple of brads to the first one.

Our little guy turned 3 months old this past week. I love this picture I took of him last weekend. It is the look he gets on his face when he is chatting up a storm.

3 Months 2/09

This is one of my favorite pictures of Mike and Jackson just minutes after Jackson was born.

Kiss Me 2/09

Jackson is affectionately known as Peanut or Peanut Butter. Nicholas is Pumpkin Pie or Pumpkin for short. Pumpkin Pie and Peanut Butter are two of my favorite things. I can't believe how small he was. This was when he was 3 days old taken while we were waiting for me to be discharged from the hospital.

My Peanut 2/09

This layout was one I had started a while ago from a Basic Grey class I took at the CKC-Mesa convention last April. I never finished it, so I finished it up and found some pictures from the park that worked great with these BG Archiac papers.

Dinomite Kid 2/09

This one was a page kit I picked up at the CKC Mesa convention last year. I never put it together. I loved the title that was on the sample from the kit since it went so well with these pictures. So I pretty much kept the layout the same as the sample.

Serious Boys - 2/09

365 2009 - Week 7

44-20090210.jpg

Monday, February 9Jackson doesn't want to sleep through the night anymore. He woke up twice each of the past two nights. Not fun when I have to get up at 5 a.m. for work. After we put him to bed tonight I made several Valentine's cards while Mike played on the computer.

Day 43 - 02/09/09

Tuesday, February 10 Jackson woke up 3 times last night. I am exhausted. Hopefully sleeping through the night will come soon. Mike had to feed Jackson about once every 1 to 1-1/2 hours today. He spent lots of time in that chair.

Day 44 - 2/10/09

Wednesday, February 11 Maybe Jackson has been going through a growth spurt. He is eating often, but only woke up once last night. Work has been busy for me.

Day 45 - 2/11/09

Thursday, February 12 Tonight was not fun. Jackson was having tummy troubles and screamed from about 6:00 to 9:30 tonight. He could not be made happy for too long, until the tummy troubles passed. Life with a baby!

Day 46 - 2/12/09

Friday, February 13 Mike had to get out of the house today. It was his first venture out alone with the two boys. They did great for him. They went to Sam's Club, the LSS, the grocery store and the mall. Mike and Nicholas ate lunch at Rubio's. Nicholas ate a whole kid's meal (little piggy).

Day 47 - 2/13/09

Saturday, February 14 We went took Nicholas and Jackson to a birthday party for my friend's two little girls. He had a blast. We shopped at Costco and after naptime opened Valentine's presents. Nicholas now has the concept of opening presents. It was cute watching him go through his bags.

Day 48 - 2/14/09

Sunday, February 15 We had a nice day at home. The boys both took good naps, so Mike and I had a lot of free time in the afternoon. After the boys woke up we all played until dinner time.

Day 49 2/15/09

Valentines Day

ValDay1.jpg

We had a fun busy Valentine's Day yesterday. We started off the day at a birthday party for the two little gifls of my friend from work, Tina. It was held at Toy Town. This is such a great place for parties for little kids. Everything is their size, the room is contained with just your party and the little one's had a blast. The kids were all about 6 and under and it was especially perfect for the 2-4 year olds.

Day 48 - 2/14/09

We had to go to Costco after the party. Then after getting the boys home and down for naps I did the rest of the grocery shopping. We celebrated Valentine's Day with the boys after naptime:

ValDay09-2

Nicholas is now starting to get the idea of opening presents. He didn't need any help from us this time.

ValDay09-3

Nicholas doesn't like chocalate or candy yet, so he got Goldfish and Teddy Grahm's and was quite happy with it. This is his "mmmm" face.

Mike helped Jackson open his presents.
