I hunted around tonight for the pictures for Mara's challenge today over at the Be Happy Online Crop at Color Me Daisy. I knew which pictures I wanted, but I couldn't find one of them. I ended up cropping a 5x7 down to fit in with the other 2 pictures. So here is my LOAD - Grandmothers. I used some Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers and buttons I have been dying to use.
Just a little something to share
Time to share
I have been busy lately. Working a lot, busy with Color Me Daisy, keeping up with the boys and all that fun stuff. I have been doing LOAD (Layout a Day) with Lain Ehmann over at Scraphappy. Basically you do a layout everyday in the month of May. I have kept up so far, so as of tonight I have 12 layouts done in May. It has forced me to be focused and not get too caught up in a layout. It's great to spend an hour or so each night doing something just for me. So here are a few of the layouts I have done over the past couple of weeks. Most of them are using May Color Me Daisy kits:
Our 'Lil Piggy - Happiness May Main Kit and Websters Pages Alpha Add On
Be Still My Heart - Pink Paislee Captivating Mini Kit using Got Sketch sketch #82
She's So Tweet - Happiness Main Kit and Webster's Pages Alpha Add On
Say Cheese - May Pink Paislee Fetching Mini Kit
"Hat" - My new favorite line from Basic Grey is now out Lime Rickey. I just got a nice big box of happy mail yesterday with a whole bunch of this line. I think it is going to be great for boy, summer, park and kid pages. I love these birds, they are so stinkin' cute.
Nicholas won't wear hats, but after a walk one day he took Mike's hat from him and started putting it on his head and shouting "hat". I bought him a new hat today and he seems to like it. So hopefully we can get him to wear one outside now, since it is getting hot again.
A Little Pink Paislee
I have been having so much fun with the Color Me Daisy kits this month. Since I am doing the LOAD (Layout of the Day) challenge in May I have been scrapping at least a page a day since Friday. I have been keeping them simple, and loving having all these kits to work with. I finally broke out the Captivating kit tonight and made this LO from Easter with my Mom and Nicholas.
I have lots more to share just need a few more minutes to do it.

Where ya been?
Wow it has been a busy couple of weeks. And this old blog here is in need of a remodel. I will get to catching up this weekend. Tonight, I must unpack scrappy goodness all in the boxes delivered yesterday and today for upcoming Color Me Daisy kits! Lots to share soon on my thoughts on CKC Mesa and the projects I am finishing up from the 7 classes I took.
I also am super excited about what we have in store for May at Color Me Daisy.
I'm Thinking....
I came across a sketch last week at Becky Fleck's Pagemaps Blog. I loved the sketch and I immediately thought of the die cut Lily Bee Frame from the April Color Me Daisy kit. The sketch was perfect for what I wanted to do and the whole thing came together so quickly. The sketch was part of a MME contest with the theme "What's on My Mind". So I used the title "I'm Thinking" to note a few things that are on my mind about Nicholas lately. If I did this in a few weeks I might have had a few MME papers from CMD's May's kit to work with. Oops, was that just a hint! ;)
Journaling says:
I'm thinking...
You are growing up so quickly... You're learning new words everyday... Your laugh is so infectious... and your smile melts my heart.
Project 365 - Week 14 3/30/09 - 4/5/09
Monday, March 30I love our neighborhood. We went on a walk tonight and from the bridge over the lake we caught the sun setting. Sometimes I wish our house was on the lake, but the practical side of me knows it’s just as well we aren’t.
Tuesday, March 31 Well I have Nicholas smiling now; it’s just a “cheesy” smile. But I still think it is adorable. He is starting to eat off a plate rather than his tray and trying out a fork.
Wednesday, April 1 Nicholas loves his puzzles. He has several of them and he is really great at putting them together. He is learning his colors from them. He is saying so many new words every day; it is amazing to watch him.
Thursday, April 2 Jackson is rolling all over and scooting too. He loves to be on the floor looking around and checking it all out. I think this little boy will not be happy if he is confined.
Friday, April 3 I finally captured a real smile. It seems like most of our pictures are at the kitchen table. I try to make it home during the week for dinner every night so we can have dinner as a family. Sadly the reality of being a working mom is the majority of the week nights are spent on eating, bathing and getting the boys to bed. After bedtime Mike and I take advantage for some hobby time.
Saturday, April 4 Jackson has now moved from just rice cereal (which we do not think he is too fond of) onto vegetables, peas to be exact. Surprisingly he ate a whole container of peas on his first try, he even seemed to like them until the very end when he gave a heeby-jeeby shake and made a face with each bite.
Sunday, April 5 I love my goofy little boy! Nicholas is so busy; he just plays all day long. Nana R came to visit this afternoon and brought the boys a cute cookie jar.
He's growing up right before my eyes!
It is amazing how fast the time is going. Jackson will be 5 months old in a few days. This past month he started rolling all over and lifting his head up to look around. He also started eating cereal, he is stil quite the piggy wiggy. He also started teething in earnest. Why does it take so long for those things to come in. You can tell the poor little guy is in a lot of pain from it. He really is a sweet little boy. He will just stop and look at you with the biggest grin. And when I am nursing him, he puts his little hand on me and looks up and smiles. It just melts my heart.
Here is our piggy wiggy eating cereal for the first time a few days after he turned 4 months old. He ate like a champ!
